With many suburban property entrances traditional style swing gates are not a very practical option. Sloping or sweeping driveways usually can’t easily accommodate the opening arc of swing gates. Or situations where using swing gates will only leave limited parking space behind the entrance. This means that using a sliding gate will offer the practicality and privacy desired by most. 

However, this is not the only reason for sliding gates’ popularity. They also provide a very secure entrance solution as they inherently provide protection against being forced open from the outside. Sliding gates also allow you a lot of freedom with design. They can be fabricated to look like a set of swing gates to complement a more traditional residence, or designed as a large single leaf which often suits a more contemporary dwelling. 

Modern brushless automation systems now mean sliders can operate quickly, securely and have settings for pedestrian access as well as vehicular.
